Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) receives COA reaccreditation


(Delphos, OHIO) – Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) is proud to announce it has received reaccreditation from the Council of Accreditation (COA). The endorsement recognizes SAFY in upholding the highest national standards for professional performance.

COA reviewers conducted a three-day intensive on-site review of the organization, which is headquartered in Delphos, Ohio. Assessors thoroughly reviewed SAFY’s case files, financial data, interviewed clients, staff, administrators and board members, as well as toured facilities. COA issued positive comments about SAFY, including:

  • "Organization has developed a well thought out and comprehensive code of ethics."
  • "Financial processes are very impressive…Excellent financial reporting noted."
  • "The organization has a strong, involved, invested board."

SAFY received accreditation for the services of foster care, adoption, mental health, family preservation and stabilization, shelter care, group living, youth independent living and developmental disabilities. SAFY has been accredited since 1995.
